To address this, we used advanced 3D modeling software to create a precise blueprint that optimized the structure’s shape and placement. The design featured a tensioned membrane structure with strategic support points, ensuring stability and durability.
Another challenge was ensuring the roofing allowed natural light while providing weather protection. We used translucent tensile fabric that diffused sunlight, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere in the atrium. The fabric’s UV-resistant properties ensured it could withstand Hyderabad’s intense heat, while its waterproof coating provided protection during monsoons.
The project also had a tight deadline, as the mall couldn’t afford prolonged construction disruptions. To meet this, we adopted a modular construction approach, where the framework and fabric were pre-fabricated off-site and assembled on-site with precision. This streamlined the installation process and minimized disruptions to mall operations.
